This made me remember something from the early 90s, which was pretty weird when I look back. I grew up in a post-socialist country, and copyright laws were all over the place.

I remember there was a weekly broadcast at one of the state operated radios: every week they played one popular album from start to finish without interruption, so people could record it on tape (somewhere around the 30-minutes mark there was a short pause, so people could flip the cassette). They were doing whole discographies, for example they were playing all Deep Purple albums over the course of a few months, one album each week.

And it was totally normal back then, lol.
