it's not just gambling, its gambling + drug addiction. It's hitting two different human frailties: the need to get one more token and the inability to figure out what that token is yourself.

Drugs reduce the short to long term intellectual capabilities while gambling drains your bank acount.

So, lets be clear: this is so much worse than either drugs or gambling addictions. It's both.
