Note that Max is the $100/$200 per month plan; In addition to the obvious incentive to upsell, I suspect attempting to use Fable on the $20 per month plan would wreck your quota.

On a related note, Codex just reset their weekly quota, again.

Not true. I have used Fable for all my planning work in a reasonably large but well organsied codebase and I rarely hit a session limit. I would use all of the Fable specific usage if I accidently let it do the full implementation of the plan. Pro was perfect for me. I would then used GPT-5 / Composer 2.5 for implementation followed by a Fable check over. I will definetly see if the API usage in Cursor is enough to cover my Fable needs before upgrading.
I used Fable all the time on my 2 Pro accounts. It's great. I'm just very careful with subagents/workflows, and it's quite usable.

I'm off to Codex land I guess, which is sad because I do appreciate Anthropic's spine when they told off the DoW.

Just a few requests of Opus on the $20 plan uses up my entire 5 hour limit... I don't even want to know what Fable would do.
