What makes you think "Texans" as a category even know on average? Or are accurately informed enough to understand the full breadth of consequences?
I’m sure that, on average, most people across the country don’t know or fully understand the implications (not just Texans). But I’m surprised the state government approved such a program in a state where people tend to be highly protective of their privacy, deeply suspicious of government overreach, and generally prefer to take matters into their own hands.
