If I am understanding you correctly, it seems the Luce does not factor in to that equation. There are no requirements for anyone to buy a Luce in order to unlock the privilege of buying higher tier models.

It's more complicated than that. Ferrari dealers will be told that their allocations for more desirable cars will be limited if they don't accept the Luce for their inventory. This gold-plated, diamond-encrusted, crystal-studded bullshit will roll downhill towards the dealers' customers, who will be expected to buy the turkeys in order to get the cars they really want.

So it won't be Ferrari SpA who applies the pressure, it'll be their dealers. Who, as always, are "independent businesses" over which the company has "no control."

Same thing that played out when Maserati first returned to the US market under Ferrari distribution, basically.
