It happens (FL). I haven't experienced it personally, but it's floated frequently enough in local news. Bicycles, I just take the full lane. Local bike lanes are suicide lanes. Brake or pass. Honk at your own peril.

Never had these issues in CA, NY, NC.

I don't think people in Real Cities understand how nice they have it. Now that I'm back in suburbia, I would never even dream of attempting to ride a bicycle anywhere.

It's a death wish to even attempt walking half a mile up to the corner store. Nobody stops at the stop signs, if you see a car coming you have to stand and wait for them to stop.

Everyone has very dark front window tints, you cannot see their faces, so you don't know if they can see you or not. Most of them do not have the self awareness to flash their lights to indicate that you're good so it's a really awkward standoff until they get impatient and honk.
