Ban Chinese cars, solar panels, wind, CPU/GPU/RAM, Network gear, AI ... anything else left?

What happened to all the talk about how free trade is good for US citizens? We lose jobs and get cheap stuff in return.

Speaking as a non-US person, I'm quite happy for the US to keep shooting itself in the foot in this manner, means prices stay low for everyone else if we're not competing with cash-rich US buyers.

A lot of those jobs would have been lost to automation anyway
