I would also argue for regular exercise as a fundamental of a stable mind. I've always been an anxious person, but since I started running 3-4 days a week consistently, my baseline neuroticism has significantly dropped.

The deep post-exercise sleep doesn't hurt.

I think it helps a bit, but no longer makes a big difference. Guess that's because I'm "old" (40+).

But again, maybe it helps more than I thought, because I haven't done any A/B test on myself -- I'm kinda getting used to exercise now.
