Something as simple as Raspberry Pi is capable of streaming from the main services while being a device you are root on. I don't think anyone's looking to control the Stream box
Hanging-by-a-thread capable. Netflix plugin for Kody is unmaintained since last year and all the other major services are supported by a single guy from Australia (probably). I'm not aware of other ways to stream on Raspberry.
