I mostly agree with you but, how do you square the use of other types of automation that are not AI? e.g computer animation vs hand-drawn, CAD software for engineering and architecture… Are those lesser art forms or we’re just used to them? |

The act of creation not just creates, it informs you. For example, when placing a wall with CAD for architecture, maybe you realize that some walls on an non-level roof have visually unappealing or difficult wall/roof joints. And then you consider that for future designs? Or you pause and think further about how a person interacts with that room. You can see how the act of creation delivered meaningful feedback to you, as a person.
IDK that's just an example I could come up with, you should really ask an architect or ID guy
