We deployed a project called boomurl.com to allow anyone to publish content and BOOM - get a URL with just an email. Since anyone can upload content, people DID. All kinds of phishing ensued - which made Google Site Safety flag the site as a "social engineering site". This short article describes what we did to fix the issue and avoid it in the future. |
