Only because anglo-style curb cuts are designed horribly. In Austria, they are unobtrusive add-ons to the sidewalk instead of literally obstructing the sidewalk. My conclusion, as always, is that U.S.-Americans and Brits do not walk. Otherwise these design choices do not make any sense. |
