If LLMs are so good and productive, why doesn't everyone write native apps for things like this?

zed is pretty good, i don't think we need a non-native editor now

I wish that were true, but I imagine the opposite will happen with AI adoption; i.e. I can see things like Electron getting even more popular.

LLMs don’t really change the fact that it still takes more effort to ship native apps, and in my experience…most people simply don’t care, users and leadership alike. It makes me sad, but that’s the reality.
