It seems unlikely it would help much, to me.

But I'm still trying to understand if an automated flagging system is in place to begin with.

It would help reviewers a lot in salvaging unjustly flagged posts, though.

Agreed on moderation. Moderation is strategic communication and needs clear repetition ("don't do this", "do do this") and transparency.

Secret or seemingly arbitrary moderation smells bad, even if its well motivated or ultimately impartial and just. The perception is important and communication triply so.
