Ask HN: Are any startups hiring front-end developers, or are they just using AI?

I have 4+ years of experience in React and Next.js when I got out of my last contract role, I thought it was the right time to look for a remote job. But, it feels like the market gave up on me. When many companies were hiring, I didn’t have enough experience. Now that I do have experience, it feels like no one is looking.

I’m curious if there are any startups out there looking for founding members or early team members.

I want to gain experience in a risk-taking product environment, where I can work in my own way, learn about the market, and also get a chance to explore my own ideas.

Right now, it honestly feels like a lost cause. I don’t really want to join another corporate ladder, but if there’s no one looking for this kind of role, maybe I should just take a simple job. I’m trying here once before I give up.

Even in HN who is hiring thread, most are bug companies and looking for US only.

Market is not bad but job posting data is fragmented and monopolised by few players. Not every job is posted in Linkedin and Indeed. We started to index jobs directly from startups and SMBs careers pages, found tons lying outside, making it easier for job seekers to find one.
