I don’t think that’s true. Some people really do have product ideas that they want to share with the world.

The problem is that those people are really bad at making money, and have a hard time competing with the people whose motivation is money.

That’s exactly what I mean as well. Of course behind startups the basic idea is to innovate. But this gets lots, because most of people just want to make money. VC-s don’t care about innovation, they care that the money they put in, comes back.

It’s not evil, it’s just how money-oriented society works.
