The subject line and contact info also take up a lot of vertical space. The actual content of the email doesn't start until halfway down the screen. Compare this to iOS Mail where the content starts about 20% down (the contact details are hidden until you click Details). If the author weren't using an iPhone 5 with the longer screen, the first paragraph of the email would barely be visible. |
