It’s not even a rarity / one-off thing. From my personal heuristics and anecdata, this happens with regularity, near semester end times. Telltale marks: authors with university emails in github profile, often coming in pairs, with no prior interaction with the project, often trying to add features nobody wanted. Not even a CONTRIBUTING.md read-through, usually. |
