I've lived in three different places in Berlin and never took public transit for grocery shopping. It would be pointless because the shops are in walking distance, just a few hundred meters away. Hypermarkets (which are rare, though I guess you could call Kaufland a mini-hypermarket) or more specialized stores are for less daily needs. |
