I read Careless People and then Character Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter and they felt like a good pairing. "Character Limit" is also one of the best book titles ever. I highly recommend both.

X is a derelict brand. I've got little love for Dorsey and Twitter, but the current website is a flaming wreckage where Twitter once stood.

It's usable if you judiciously use lists.

I found mastodon inconsistent in timely information and Bluesky is Dorsey's loonies on crack.

People said that Twitter was usable if you filtered out the cryptocurrency scams with lists.

I think both types of users are in denial about how awful their website is, it's a "frying pan vs fire" situation.
