I recently got an iMac from the same era up and running. First as a FOSS gaming machine for my kids, then as a gift for a friend who was lacking computing options. The secret (as you probably know) for installing a lot of FOSS software is MacPorts not Homebrew. I thought my Firefox LTS was updating fine, but I could be wrong. I could certainly browse with it. |
