If you are going to put Linux on a Laptop you must make sure its supported. Lenovo sells laptops with Ubuntu pre-installed. Its a breeze with the right hardware.

I bought it, from Lenovo, with Ubuntu installed on it, by Lenovo, from the factory, brand new. It was not a breeze. In fact, it sucks.
Reminds me of how some Lenovo Thinkpads that officially support Linux have known problems that make Bluetooth audio super flaky. Everyone in my office who had those in 2020 quickly figured out they needed to either get wired mics or switch laptops.
