The risk is the opportunity cost. Going and getting a job at Google pays a lot of money. Repeatedly starting and failing at startups, or getting rejected by YC, doesn't pay you anything. I think it sucks that the NFL destroys people's brains and bodies. But why is it so bad that the star quarterbacks command such high pay? |
