I don't have a problem with that. I wouldn't upload anything to these I didn't keep a local copy of. Monetarily it makes sense: they have to recover the cost of storing these images. By charging to recover every old image, they can cover the costs of holding on to these for people. The fallacy is that there's a third option between paid recovery and not storing them indefinitely: doing it for free.
