How cool is that!

How difficult would it be to create some sort of 'game' around it that let's me go through some levels building something actually useful in a few steps, like the nand games does, with actual hardware ?

I found most intros to ASICs and analog electronics not nearly as approachable (but I honestly have not done a decent survey of what's out there). But I know nand-game and that's magnificent.
