	Ask HN: Claude renamed my VM from the inside?

	On my Win11 machine I run my dev in a VMWare 17. VM name was setup years ago as Win11_dev. I run my Claude inside. This morning my muscle memory couldn't find my machine - it was renamed to claude?! How is this possible? I'm baffled.

Probably easier to ask Claude how it did this than to ask us. I find most threads like this get lost in churn, rather than getting replies.

(I may have replied, but I have no idea either, VMs aren't by field of expertise though).

You're probably right! Maybe I should get used to this kind of "incidents".

Was so surprised that I just had to ask. (VM name is outside VM and Claude is running inside. So how on earth VM name was changed?!) Well...
