Regulation and prerogative, revenge-driven abuse of state power are not the same thing. Anthropic has been asking for a sensible regulatory regime, as you would know if you read their suggestions. What you’re looking at is USG directly integrating with the free market based on personal dislike. It’s purely a revenge tactic due to Anthropic’s disagreement with Hegseth’s desire to use AI for war crimes. |
