It seems that the US is consumed by the security state. Each and every aspect of the economy is subjugated to the need to maintain empire. Just to give some random examples: the weaponization of the banking system (kicking Russia out of swift), the semiconductor export ban to China, the TikTok ban, or the blatant over usege of tariffs.

Now they are betting that Mythos will provide them with some edge. Personally, I don't believe that Mythos is such a game changer They're just buying their own hype.

A late stage empire flailing around sacrificing everything to maintain its status.

Kicking Russia out of SWIFT was 100% the right move. And they need to be kicked way harder so they knock the fuck off.
It also was a European move the US tried to undo in Trump-Putin negotiations before they realized they had no say in it.

SWIFT is Belgian.

It's the right move if you want to spur on multipolarism by causing widespread distrust in a Western run global financial system. So in that sense I'm glad the US-led West has accelerated that process.
You need to draw red lines somewhere. If you wage attack wars on other countries or reject our shared values, you can't be part of Western society or enjoy its amenities. Don't do that, and you can. It's that simple.
You mean randomly attacking countries like Venezuela or Iran?
Honestly, I don't really consider the USA a western nation anymore in the sense that European nations are.
SWIFT is meant to be a global neutral platform, not an extension of US foreign policy. It's that simple. It's because of your Western chauvinism that you can't see that the US and Israel have done exactly the same thing you accuse others of having done. Ergo, why haven't they been kicked out of SWIFT? Riddle me that mr. "You need to draw red lines somewhere"
I am not an American, and I personally would be in favour of excluding the USA from the union of western nations.

They just ran the entire Iran campaign on Opus. They know what that can do, they know what this can do.

Do you have a source for this?

I do wonder why that happened. Hmm.

It's almost like Russia invaded Europe...

And so the US and Israel have been kicked out of SWIFT, yes?

(never mind that anybody with a functioning cerebral cortex understands that the roots of the special military operation lie in NATO provocation and politically neutral Kiev getting couped with help from the CIA)

There is no point talking with you. That you in Russia have your brains damaged, we all know, but the rest of the world doesn't live in a state of constant alcohol delirium. You might want to be aware of that.

Of course it is you who are morally damaged because people like you refuse to respect a fundamental moral concept which is to treat others as you would have yourself be treated.

And I am not in Russia, I am from Western Europe. Given that S.W.I.F.T. operates out of Belgium (an EU country) and I live in an EU country I think my opinion on this counts.

I've listened to people like you for years insult people's basic sense of justice and logic.

It's a very simple rule -- you can't have one set of rules for the West and another for everyone else -- the so-called international rules-based order is a joke, it's corrupt (irredeemably so), it's myopic, it's increasingly totalitarian, it's in a constant state of war, the gap between the haves and have-nots keeps increasing, and it's now complicit in a genocidal rampage, the never-ending hypocrisy is nauseating -- enough is enough, things can't go on like this.

And a large part of the problem is not external enemies: drug cartels, authoritarian regimes, Islalism -- the problem is the enemy within and people like you are part of that problem.

I wouldn't bet my money that Israel won't be, eventually. The public opinion is turning against them right now.
You underestimate how central Israel is to US-led Western imperialism and how, in turn, ingrained US exceptionalism and Western chauvinism are. Israel is as rogue as a rogue state can be and nothing has happened to it.

Russia kicked out of SWIFT, Israel wasn't

Russia kicked out of FIFA, Israel wasn't

Hell, Russia kicked out of the Eurovision, Israel wasn't

Israel is an absolute pariah on the world stage -- globally once you leave the Western bubble people have a much more negative opinion of Israel than even Russia whose Soviet past has left a residue of generational resentment.

And the US never invaded anyone.
А у вас негров линчуют.
Is that wrong? The US was doing that.
Maybe other countries then should start banning the U.S from using data centers located elsewhere. Can’t pick only the cherries from top.
this is the take.
