| It loaded now. * Hi from Argentina! Where are the next matches??? * Does each player has it's own statistics, like speed and accuracy? Some personality details? Do they get tired? I watched the first two games: Mexico vs South Africa and South Korea vs Czechia. It's entertaining. Some comments: * Is it possible to give each team the correct color? (Some plain color that is the average of the actual jersey is fine. Remember to check for collisions.) * It would be nice to give the goalkeeper a different color. I guess you can still add it. * Perhaps you can add a 1/2 second pause after the goal with the ball inside the goalpost and another 1/2 second pause with the players in the starting position before the game start again, so it's easier to understand. (1/2+1/2 seconds may be too much, pick a shorter pause. Bonus imaginary points for confeti during the pause.) * When I saw the "Watch replay" button I expected to be redirected to ESPN or something to watch the real game. I'm not subscribed to ESPN or something, so I ignored the button for a while. My recommendation is to rename it to "Watch simulation". Some feature requests for 2030: * IIUC they don't simulate diving, that's too unrealistic :) * No https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offside_(association_football) . I don't worry about a super strict implementation, but it looks unrealistic now. * In Mexico vs South Africa all players are very close to the ball, no lines. In South Korea vs Czechia they form the defense-center-attack lines better, but they are still too close to the ball. * The goalkeepers likes to be be near one post of the goalpost instead of the center. I'm not sure how difficult is to explain to the AI that this is a bad idea. (Anyway, in "Mexico vs South Africa" the goalkeeper decided to chase the ball and was in the middle of the field at the goal time. It was a good idea to go out to block the attack a few seconds before the goal, but he should have returned to the goal sooner. I guess these strange cases are inevitable and they make the simulations more interesting.) |
