Musk is notorious for pie-in-the-sky promises that either never materialize or show up years late.

He does this for one blatantly obvious reason --- it works with a significant portion of investors. They keep throwing cash at him in return for pie-in-the sky. Never mind that FSD is still not available and will never be for many who paid for it because their hardware won't support it --- despite prior promises to the contrary.

And as a result, the pie keeps getting bigger and bolder and more absurd.
