As far as empathy and the right people, humans love stories. Thus storytellers are beloved. Sometimes those story tellers are dishonest, sure, but who's doing the manipulating here? You raise as question of ethics, to manipulate readers into thinking you're right, followed by saying I've deployed a defense script, and that I've been manipulated into doing so, making readers think I'm being fooled. All without actually addressing my criticism other than saying "nah idc, it's still a wrapper", saying you're too cool to even bother writing it out. Finally closing with bringing up ZIRP again. ZIRP is relevant how? Because some people paid money for an app they found useful? People do pay for things. Unless they don't have to. Open source works in some cases, but xkcd 2347 is a meme for a reason. |
