And at least as important is the title claiming "Told to Stop Hiring" - but then the article walks that back through - "1 in 6 Have Been Told to Deprioritize Hiring White Men" - and - "1 in 6 have been asked to deprioritize hiring white men". Yeah... And most critically: "70% believe their company has DEI initiatives for appearances’ sake". Which can easily mean "Play along with the pretend. For now. Hire diverse candidates where that will do the most good for short-term appearances, but not hurt our bottom line much." |
