I doubt that people in government, along the entire chain of command, that get paid to analyse policy, that pay consultants to analyse policy, that produce reports on the many facets of the world… that all of that is put together to NOT think things through. I’d honestly prefer the explanation to be that they’re just that evil, at least that aligns with my worldview. |
