Would this be anything more than a 1k or 10k resistor across a pair of terminals to make the ECU think a sensor was connected when it wasn’t? All that would require is a wiring diagram and a resistor, along with access to the car. I doubt the airbags deploy when the impact sensor is disconnected, that wouldn’t be a very good failure mode. Maybe Takata airbags did that? /joke |
