I saw a post on reddit recently where OP said a potential buyer was asking to see the code of his app and he was afraid the guy might “copy” his project. Honestly I find this a bit funny, especially now with AI when anyone can vibecode a copy of any product. While I still believe building a quality product matters in the long run, marketing and distribution were always the hard parts. So I’d like to give away the code of my side project as an experiment.
The problem is definitely validated, I’ve had ~10k users trying out the app and and made $33k over the last 2 yrs with it. Source: trust me bro. The code has been open source for a while now, but I challenge anyone to make a better business out of it. |
