Reading about surveillance: best place to live?

Read HN post this morning detailing all the surveillance in Seattle. This begs a broader question: are certain areas in the U.S. freer of surveillance than others. Cottages by lakes (less surveillance coming from the water), college towns, big cities but don't drive, small towns, Upper Peninsula Michigan, middle of farmland, next to the Amish? Any practical ideas. |
