If you bought the DVD, it would work for years/decades to come (assuming no manufacturing defects) plus you'd be well within your rights to make a digital copy of that DVD for your private collection. Sure, you probably only watched that DVD 1-3 times, but that's not the point. The point is you bought it and that gives you certain rights that are now totally absent from a digital first media consumption reference point. |
