Adam Smith warns that "people of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices". Book I, Ch. X, Part II; ~p. 54 . A meteor or some natural phenomenon can be a coincidence. But especially so in industry, especially the same industry... with the respective CEOs as family, i wholeheartedly reject "coincidences". The C word that should be used instead is "conspiracy". |
