I have a simple mantra that is somewhat broader than this: Question convenience. Convenience isn't always bad. But every time you make a choice to increase convenience, especially when it's of the form "make it so that X will happen automatically in the future so I won't have to think about it anymore", you are effectively outsourcing your own life, and that's something to be cautious of. |
