What makes one a distro and one a spin, flavor, or other made up branding by one of the larger linux vendors? It's arbitrary. They're all linux distributions delivering distinct OS experiences. The only reason we call one a 'flavor' or 'spin' is because Red Hat and Ubuntu wanted to maintain a core identity with its product line. |
