I imagine google is going the perplexity route, which is honestly fine by me since i do most of my searches with perplexity now. The search harness around it is good enough that i trust it to cite its sources and not go into opinion beyond necessity. If google could make it properly reliable with a good harness then i think its solid. I think this backlash against it wouldnt amount to much and people will just get on the new google
