The comments here have some of the highest bullshit content of any I've read on HN in recent memory.

The author's frustration is palpable in the article. People being misled by some twitverse influenza, while ignoring a long history of clinical trial data.

To me the solution seems simple: let people do whatever stupid-ass thing they want to do.

Calmly inform them of the proven risks, then let them make their own choices.

If they suffer chronic heart disease, and/or die younger, that was their choice and they suffered the consequences.

As the old hippie chicks used to say: Beans and Greens are all you need.
