If not, it was something else, probably that sus hardcore stuff that our common friends liked. I guess that goes to your point about the similarities and therefore at least cross-pollination, if not outright influence, between thrash and hardcore.

Yeah, it wasn't his cup of tea. He listened to some of the bands we did with us but at home I don't reckon he had any Black albums.
