Sounds like they should have replaced Matthew Prince with an AI. The AI would probably have been smart enough to understand that you don't shrink your way to being a great company. The AI would have realized that you take the people who are being made redundant, and task them with solving new, harder, problems. The ones AI can't solve. Have them launch whole new products, spin up entire new divisions, etc. Let the humans use their creativity to do great things... |
