I'm a recently laid-off engineer, I've been playing around with AI to create apps, (vibe and not-vibe coding), and am blown away with how productive I can be. It feels like that feeling when I was in High School and built my first website and felt like I could build anything.

I live in San Francisco and have a bit of time before I start looking for a new job, but I realize I'm right in the heart of where all of this stuff is coming from.

How would you recommend I get involved/meet people doing cool things? Anything from groups that get together to someone who wants to grab a beer once a week and start a group.
