Yes, but that was the standard behavior in DOS & Windows world (not including C/C++). We thought that case sensitivity was the broken behavior ;) I was referring to the parent's statement "If a method or function call is similar enough to an existing one or a common one from other languages, to just have it silently use that." A compiler that substitutes a different function for the one I specified because it "knows what I really want" is horrifying. |
