It doesn't move while you work, its just the lock screen and when you log in.

It’s actually configurable. You can make it keep playing if you want to.

I understand, now.

I originally thought that this was an extension to keep a video running in the background.

It simply allows you to add your own videos to the built-in Apple ones (much more useful to me).
