I recently built a large PCB art project that doubles as a real-time family location display. The board itself is a stylized copper map of the California East Bay, with roads rendered as exposed copper traces, water defined by solder mask, and the bare substrate used as the land. A 64x32 RGB LED matrix mounted behind the PCB illuminates family members’ locations in real time, and shows the route to events on a shared calendar. |
