Viable open source Claude Design alternative?
26 points by splatzone 38 days ago
Can anyone recommend an alternative to Claude Design? I've been trying OpenDesign (https://github.com/nexu-io/open-design) using GPT5.5 which seemed promising, but so far the results have nowhere near the same level of polish or consistency as Claude Design from what I can tell.

Any recommendations?

I don't have any OSS recc, but Google's Stitch works pretty well. Sometimes better than Claude, sometimes worse.
I tried combining it with existing UI libraries instead of fully generated design That usually improves polish a lot
As someone who's explored Open Design recently, I think that's about as close as we're going to get for now unfortunately. I agree it't not really on the same level as Claude Design.
Try google stitch i good option maybe using this is as beneficial like claude design. Is there any stool to use agaist claude?
yep I tried OpenDesign too, it is decent but still does not feel as polished as Claude Design yet. what other people are using these days for cleaner results?
I like Claude 4.6
