But what about the actual content? People aren't scared of social media because you can message people, it's because of the short form videos. How are you supposed to have an offline version of that?
That's the point?

Social media is simply share x thing with either the world or a group of people or an individual.

The issue is when that is manipulated into you need to spend more time on them artificially.

When hn pushes 99% content other than tech then yes. It'll literally be the same.

So it's ok if hackernews "manipulated (me) into (needing) to spend more time on them artificially" because it's tech? Can you see the mental gymnastics is you're having to pull up make this work?
